Listowel Agricultural Society
Listowel Agricultural Society
Started in 1856, the Listowel Fair has something for everyone!
Whether its livestock, the midway, homecraft exhibits, agricultural education, entertainment, tractor pulls or the demolition derby, the Listowel Fair has it all! As a proud part of the North Perth community, the Listowel Agricultural Society strives to showcase the best this area has to offer. Held annually on the 3rd weekend in July, the Listowel Fair is a must to attend as the ‘Town & Country Meet!’
Each year the Listowel Agricultural Society works to provide quality competitions, events and entertainment for the Listowel Agricultural Fair. After many of our fairs, feedback is gathered so that our organization can keep working to improve the Listowel Fair to ensure that the event is what the community is looking for.
This has resulted in increased gate attendance at the Listowel Fair with large crowds at many events throughout the weekend in 2023 despite the weather being wet at times. Volunteers work to try and make sure the experience of those attending the Listowel Fair is a positive experience so they will return to the Listowel Fair and the community of North Perth in future years.
Without a doubt, the volunteers that make up the Listowel Agricultural Society. Our volunteers are passionate about making the Agricultural Society a vibrant organization that contributes in many ways to the community. The Agricultural Society has over 200 volunteers that help to organize and execute the Listowel Agricultural Fair, held each July, as well as many other events that take place each year including the Harvest Dinner, Volunteer & Sponsor Appreciation event, catering, and looking forward to 2024, the Field of Dreams & Auction, a fundraiser for doctor recruitment in our community. The volunteers of the Listowel Agricultural Society are hard-working and knowledgeable people that truly have the best interest of the Listowel Agricultural Society and the community at heart.
The ultimate goal of the Listowel Agricultural Society is to have the organization succeed for many years to come and build upon the past 167 years of successes.
