Often confused with the Listowel BIA, the North Perth Chamber of Commerce is a separate organization with a shared commitment to supporting local business and community growth. The key difference is in how we operate: Chamber membership is voluntary and open to all businesses, while BIA membership is automatic and funded through a municipal tax levy for downtown businesses. Both organizations play unique roles, and together, we contribute to building a stronger, more vibrant North Perth.

We are also the primary information hub for local business and tourism. Whether you’re seeking support, resources, or connections, the Chamber is your go-to partner in business.

Chamber History

The Chamber first opened operations as a Board of Trade in 1883 and has been proudly serving the community for over 140 years!

Our Office

The historic Public Utilities commission building was built in 1903 to house the pumps that provided drinking water to the town. The fountain in front was first located at the Main and Wallace intersection to water horses, then it was moved to the Memorial Park, and in the 1920’s was relocated to the PUC site. The building is now used as the North Perth Chamber of Commerce office and the Visitor’s Centre.
