New Horizons Rehabilitation Services Inc. is a multi disciplinary service.  We opened our doors over 30 years ago to serve our wonderful community.

Since 1993 our clinic’s goal has been to provide the highest possible quality of personalized rehabilitation service possible.

We provide the services of:

Physiotherapy

We treat:

• Orthopaedic conditions – including sports injuries, sprains, strains, fractures, joint replacements, arthritis

• Neurological conditions – brain injuries from mild to very severe, concussions (our therapists are certified in the SHIFT program), spinal cord injuries, stroke, conditions such as muscular sclerosis

• Vertigo, dizziness and balance rehab

• Pelvic Health – for men and women.  Our therapists provide assessment and treatment for continence concerns, prolapse, pelvic pain including painful intercourse, endometriosis, cystitis; prenatal and post natal care, menopause

We also provide:

• Acupuncture and dry needling

• Custom orthotics

Funding is provided through

• Extended health benefits; we can direct bill most plans

• Motor vehicle accident insurance

• Workplace safety and insurance board (WSIB)

• Veteran’s affairs

• Bundled care for hip and knee replacement

• Long term disability

Speech Language Pathology

We treat:

• Adults

  •  after concussion or brain injury - assessing and treating cognition

  • post stroke

  • swallowing concerns

• Children

  • child language

  • Articulation delays

  • Fluency/ stuttering

  • At risk/ developmental delays

  • Feeding difficulties

  • Neurodivergent learning needs such as with autism

  • Learning disabilities

  • Cleft lip and palate

  • Fluency or stuttering

  • Voice disorders

  • Acquired brain injury assessing and providing treatment for cognition.

  • Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)

  • Social emotional development

  • Receptive (understanding) and expressive (use of) language delays

Funding is provided through

• Extended health benefits – we are able to direct bill most plans

• Motor vehicle accidnet insurance

• Funding may be available though other avenues such as the autism program

Rehabilitation Support Worker

We treats:

• Individuals who benefit from assistance in completing a rehabilitation program set up and supervised by a physiotherapist, occupational therapist and/or speech language pathologist.

• These individuals, both adults and children,  may have sustained

  • Brain injury

  • Spinal cord injury

  • Multiple trauma

  • Stroke

  • Individuals who benefit from the assistance of a qualified therapist in guiding them through their program

• Our therapist is a Certified Water Therapist

  • Provides 1:1 pool programs to assist in recovery from the injuries noted above, as well as arthritis,  and fractures

Funding is through

• Motor vehicle accident insurance

• Long term disability insurance

• Self pay

No doctor’s referral is required for any of our services.  However, some benefit plans may still require a referral.  Please check your plan prior to beginning treatment.
