100.1 The Ranch Celebrates Dairy Industry with Calf Giveaway and Live Broadcast from Maplevue Farms

Listowel, April 23 2025 – For the fifth consecutive year, 100.1 The Ranch is proud to celebrate the hard-working farmers and families that power the dairy industry. As a station rooted in agriculture, 100.1 The Ranch continues its tradition of honoring the backbone of the community with a two-week celebration packed with fun, education, and appreciation for dairy producers.

Kicking off in late May, the station’s hosts will spend two weeks highlighting dairy facts, sharing farmer stories, and—back by popular demand—hosting the “Best MOOO” contest where one lucky listener will win a live calf!

This marks the fourth calf giveaway by the station, and in true community spirit, each year the calf has been donated back and auctioned off, raising funds for local school milk programs.

The grand finale of the celebration will take place on June 1st, when 100.1 The Ranch broadcasts live from Maplevue Farms during their annual Open House. The public is invited to come out, tour the farm, meet local dairy producers, and experience firsthand the dedication behind every gallon of milk.
