Shop Local Dollars are a local currency for use at participating North Perth businesses.
The North Perth Chamber of Commerce initiated this program in 2008 to support local businesses and stop some of the retail leakage to other areas. This program has continued to have great success.

To stay progressive and current, our dollars have been given a new look, and yet EACH dollar is stamped with our seal for authenticity, numbered and printed on non-copy paper for security purposes.

Purchase Shop Local Dollars
Shop Local Dollars can be purchased from Libro Credit Union and given to spend locally on products and services within North Perth. Dollars are available in $50, $20, $10 and $5 denominations.

You can send an e-transfer, pay with Certified cheque or Cash - or a cheque is accepted with a 3-day hold.

Value of Shop Local Dollars
The value is on par with a regular dollar and there is a guarantee that the Shop Local Dollar will stay in North Perth and support local businesses. These dollars are also professionally printed with security features to avoid fraud.
Signs are Available
Merchants can ask for Window Signs as well as smaller signs to place at your cash register to remind customers that you accept Shop Local Dollars.
Chamber Members will receive these signs for free. Non-Chamber Members are welcome to join the program. A small fee is applied to purchase decals and signs.

All the dollars are redeemed at the North Perth Chamber of Commerce office, at NO cost to the merchant.
