Why we love the Listowel Santa Claus Parade...

The Chamber couldn’t have made this day complete without all the assistance from the Chamber’s Partners and the business community.

Sponsorship allows us to bring in a lot of extra’s into our day, from treats to bands, to Santa’s helpers.

The North Perth Chamber of Commerce would like to extend a special thank you to all those businesses that help in so many ways to make this parade a success, from opening your doors and offering hot chocolate, building floats, and to the Chamber Volunteers for your countless contributions and assistance with this special day with Santa.

We’d like to thank:

The Listowel Fire Department for allowing Santa's Place to be at their shop

Don Hamilton Real Estate for the Candy Bags at the Firehall

ReMax Midwestern for being Greeters at the firehall with hot chocolate and cookies

Conway Furniture for providing a beautiful Chair for Santa while at the Firehall

Photobooth Sponsors: Ron Lockie Electric and Natural Sunshine Therapy

The Parade Route:

Marshalling begins at 6 pm on Nelson Street (behind Walmart/Zehrs)

The Parade will start at the corner of Nelson Street and Main at the West End of Town at 7 pm sharp.

The rest of the route will be the same, turning onto Main Street heading east, turning north at the lights on Wallace Avenue.

The parade will then turn east onto Elizabeth and finish at the Legion parking lot / or Memorial arena.

The estimated length of the parade is 40 Minutes.

Parade Float Instruction

Marshalling Starts at 6 pm, in the south side of Walmart parking lot. At 7 pm the Fire trucks will begin the parade.

We are suggesting All Average Size Floats (trucks/trailers) come into Barnett St off Hwy 23 – into Walmart parking lot to wait. Be prepared (dress warm and be prepared for the possibility of being wet weather).

All LARGE floats (transport) should come in from the south end (Hwy23) turning onto Barnett, and continuing to Nelson to get positioned easier. We can move smaller ones into formation afterwards.

The Float line up is random, keeping the musical floats separate. We will usher you out accordingly – and as we shift forward.

GROUPS: Please arrange a meeting area within the parking lot – and try to avoid pick up and drop offs using Nelson Street as much as possible. It will be a very busy spot. At 6:30 there will be no south entry onto Nelson Street from Kincaid. It's blocked for safety. There are no public washrooms available on site. Be prepared.

The parade will begin formation behind Kincaid street – and as stated above, we will shift up street by street as time allows. Please be patient,  the streets will be busy, and some will be blocked off.

*We urge all participants to AVOID GAPS IN THE ROUTE, by driving slow, and keeping an eye on the vehicle BEHIND you as well as the one in front.

If the one behind is getting more than a vehicle length or two, PLEASE SLOW DOWN … if everyone stays watchful – it will run smoothly.

The LAST FLOAT will have Santa on it – we need the pace to remain slow so that his audience has an opportunity for him to wave at everyone.

*For safety reason we are asking that no candy be thrown out of vehicles.

*A Big thank you for your participation, and making this a fun night for all!
